Nottingham Illustrations

A series of rainbow coloured illustrations based on the different postcodes in Nottingham.

Currently, there are illustrations for NG1-9 however Kate would love to expand the project to incorporate all 32 postcode districts across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

This project was a great way to explore places of Nottingham that Kate wasn't familiar with and find some new places to visit.

Each illustration was created by layering three hand drawn illustrations digitally.

For every illustration, there is the postcode that corresponds to the area written behind the architecture.

Each illustration in the foreground shows something that either symbolises a place or the community in that area.

Central Nottingham.

Included in the illustration:
Council house, Market square lion statue, Nottingham Castle, Theatre Royal and Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem.

Areas in NG2:
West Bridgford, The Meadows and Sneinton

Included in the illustration:
Trent bridge, Colwick Hall, Nottingham Station, Victoria Embankment war memorial and a goalie to represent Nottingham Forest's city ground.

Thorneywood, St Ann's, Bakersfield, Porchester and Mapperley

Pakistan Centre, Mapperley Tunnel, The Haunted Museum, St Anns Valley Centre and a rooster to represent Stonebridge City Farm.

University of Nottingham Jubilee campus sculpture, Harvey Hadden, Hemlcok Stone Pub, Wollaton Hall with a reference to Batman that was filmed there and a deer that can be found in Wollaton Park.
