A sensory story written and illustrated by Kate Wand.

The inspiration behind this project came from Kate's love of dogs. Many children are afraid of dogs or don't behave appropriately around them. This book is a fun way for children to learn how to interact with them.

This story aims to be inclusive by incorporating sensory elements. Each page is accompanied with a postcard with instructions for the adult and a sensory object. With every page there is an action to be performed to help to engage the child. Throughout the book the senses that will be engaged are: sight, touch, smell and hearing.

Some children may not engage with just a flat picture book and may need extra senses to be involved in order to get as much enjoyment from the book as possible.

This helps to engage children regardless of disability.
