Florence's First Friend was written and Illustrated by Kate Wand as a gift for her new born sister. The book was accompanied by a toy dragon in the hopes that her younger sister Florence would create her own adventures with her new best friend.
At first the pair are wary of each other but soon form a lasting friendship.
Hardback book. Illustrations are hand drawn with added textures, then collaged digitally to create final artworks. Textures were created using acrylic paints, drawing ink and brush pens.
